What happens next
- We email you within 48 hours at the address you gave, to check the request came from you and to confirm what you want deleted.
- You reply from that address to confirm.
- We delete the account and tell you when it’s done. We aim to finish within 30 days of your confirmation, and usually much sooner.
We only act on a request confirmed from the email address on the account. That stops anyone else deleting your account.
If you run your company’s account
If you’re the account owner, you can also delete the whole company yourself, straight away, in RotaTiger under Settings. We’ll email you a code to confirm.
Deleting the company removes your company’s people, rotas, leave, sickness records, files and settings from our live systems, cancels billing and removes your saved card at Square. Export anything you need to keep first. You can download your records as CSV files from Settings.
If your employer gave you access
Your employer runs its own RotaTiger account and decides what records it keeps about you, such as holiday, sickness and shifts. Employers often have to keep these by law, for example for holiday pay and tax records.
When you ask us to delete your account, we’ll delete your RotaTiger sign-in (your login, password, passkeys, two-step settings and app devices) and let your employer know about your request. Your employer then decides what happens to the records it keeps about you, and you can ask them directly too. If you’re no longer working there, your access stops anyway when they mark you as having left.
What we keep
- Paid invoices, showing only what the invoice itself shows, for six years, because UK tax law requires it.
- A note that the deletion happened, with counts of what was removed but no names.
- Backups, for up to a week. Deleted data is gone from them when they expire.
