The RotaTiger appsComing soon

Their rota, on their phone.

A staff app made for people who don’t sit at a desk. They see their next shifts, pick up open ones, say when they can’t work and book time off, without hunting through menus. Line managers approve from the same app.

Until the apps are out, staff see their rota, take open shifts and book time off in any phone’s browser.
For staff

Everything they need, nothing they don’t.

Big buttons, plain words and the things people actually do on a shift, a tap or two from the home screen.

Their rota

The next four weeks of shifts, with your notes, and a notification the moment the rota is published or changes.

Open shifts

Extra shifts go out as a notification, and they can take one straight from it.

When they can’t work

Set the days and times they can’t work, and when they’d prefer to, every week or on particular dates.

Swap a shift

Ask a colleague to swap. Their manager approves it, with cover checked first.

Book time off

Three taps. Only the shifts they’d have worked come off their balance, and on a folding phone the calendar and request sit side by side.

Not well?

Tell their manager they’re off sick from the home screen. The reason stays private.

Widgets

Home screen widgets for the next shift and holiday left, on iPhone and Android.

In their calendar

Add shifts and time off to the phone’s own calendar, and keep them up to date.

No passwords

Sign in with a code sent to their email or mobile, then Face ID or a fingerprint.

For line managers

Approve it from wherever you are.

Line managers use the same app. Requests arrive as a notification, ready to approve without opening a laptop.

  • Approve or decline requests in a tap, with cover checked first.
  • See who’s off and what’s waiting on the Team screen.
  • Everything else, from planning the rota to the wallchart, is on app.rotatiger.com.
Privacy

No ads. No tracking.

The apps are for work, so they behave like it. Our privacy notice has the detail.

  • No advertising, analytics or tracking in the apps, and nothing sold to anyone.
  • The apps only ask for a permission, such as notifications or the calendar, when someone uses the feature that needs it.
  • Face ID and fingerprints stay on the phone. The app is only told whether the check passed.
  • Sign-in details are kept in the iPhone’s Keychain or Android’s Keystore, on that phone only.
  • Sickness reasons are encrypted, and colleagues only ever see “Away”.
